Hart Moving & Storage has always put customer satisfaction and crew safety as our top operating priority. In light of the recent National Emergency Declaration and rise in COVID-19 cases, we want to assure you that we are taking appropriate measures and following best practices for sanitation, cleanliness, and social responsibility. Our doors remain open and we will continue to operate in full capacity for the foreseeable future. We will constantly be proactive with adjustments and changes to our procedures and policies, always in the best interest of company and public safety.
VIRTUAL VIDEO SURVEYS
As needed prospective customers will be offered a virtual alternative to the traditional in-home estimate.
We already extensively utilize this technology so our relocation specialists are very adept and can provide highly accurate estimates and information.
INCREASED CLEANING
We have increased the frequency and focus of cleaning duties in our office, warehouse, and trucks. Our crews will be provided with disinfectants and cleaning supplies for both company and personal use that are on the EPA list of COVID-19 fighting products. They will be performing pre and post job routines to clean the interiors of trucks, equipment, phones/tablets, and frequently touched surfaces. We kindly ask that prior to the arrival of our crew that you also disinfect door handles and frequently touched surfaces.
EDUCATION
We are making continuous daily efforts to educate our customers and staff, keeping everyone up to date with the latest developments and recommendations from the CDC. We have posted numerous informational documents around our facility and on our internal social media platform. All team members are required to view and acknowledge these posts
PRE-MOVE TEAM MEMBER WELLNESS CHECK
Any team member showing symptoms of illness or is thought to have been in contact with an infected person, will be excused from their shift and/or sent home. All employees will have their temperature checked prior to being dispatched out to a customers home. All employees will also have access to hand cleaning and sanitary supplies. Hygiene is being taught and promoted with the utmost importance.
PRE-MOVE CUSTOMER WELLNESS CHECK
Our scheduling team will contact customers prior to the arrival of our crew to inquire if anyone in the household feels ill, or suspects that they have come in contact with an infected person. Move services can be cancelled or postponed to mitigate risk and ensure safety. Hart Moving & Storage reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any service if there are infections signs or concerns present.
OPEN DOORWAYS AND WINDOWS
At all possible times, we ask that doors and windows are propped open to reduce touching and stimulate airflow. Our crews will have door stoppers and other materials available to help facilitate this.
PAPERWORK
Hart Moving and Storage will continue to use electronic document signing whenever possible and reduce the number of physical signatures required on the job site.
